School Trips
Adam Thomas (Donte)
I went on a geography bike trip and I kept overtaking the teacher. So I had to stay with him throughout the whole trip. We also went to Thormby and we all dived in the sea.
Angela Griffin (Kim)
I went on a couple of school trips. In primary school I went to Scarborough and I remember my mum trying to tell the teacher how to brush my hair and put it into bunches. Poor teacher, it used to really hurt and she really had no idea. I also went to France on the ferry in middle school and we camped. I loved it, asking for ham and cheese sandwiches in French. I remember being told that my French was very good by a shopkeeper; I was very smug after that. I also went on one of those adventure holidays where you go rock climbing and abseiling.
Denise Welch (Steph)
I once was involved in a school trip that went wrong. As our coach crashed on our trip to York. No one was badly hurt but a local TV news crew turned up and I was interviewed. Apparently I said something like "I can only give you a minute, I'm very shaken by the events of today!" I must have been just about 11 years old.
Jamie Glover (Andrew)
I went skiing with the school. I can't believe that there wasn't more chaos. It seemed that we were completely let loose.
Jason Done (Tom)
In primary school we went to York on an old fashioned train and we trashed it. Toilet rolls were getting thrown everywhere. We were very disrespectful and wrecked it and got a good telling off.
Jason Merrells (Jack)
France - bangers - mayhem.
Jill Halfpenny (Izzie)
We went to France for a school trip and I got caught buying alcohol by my French teacher! She wasn't happy as I had tried to hide it in some poor guy's garage. Anyway I got told off and that was the end of it.
Katie Griffiths (Chlo)
I went with my Secondary school to Germany in Year 10. We didn't do much learning but had a fantastic time.
Lauren Drummond (Mika)
We went on some great school trips. In year 5 we went to Ravenstone in Derbyshire. It was great - we were only 9 years old and the film "The Full Monty" had just been released. So the boys tried to recreate a scene from it. They got as far as taking their tops off and they then ran off giggling like girls.
