Episode 3.3
Comments have been made that the depictions of events in the series are unrealistic in terms of what happens in our schools, particularly where SEN students are concerned. What I would point out is that WR is a drama programme, not a documentary. Viewers should therefore expect exaggerated storylines - they are written purposely for dramatic effect! For what it's worth I think that the quality of writing and acting is superb on the whole, though I too would like to see less of characters cheating in personal relationships. Not 100% of couples do this, though one would be forgiven for thinking that seeing as it is the norm for all relationships in the series. Some originality in that aspect would be very refreshing. Oh, and *please* can both Grantly Budgen and Steph Haydock be subjected to disciplinary action as soon as possible!

I am very disappointed. Waterloo Road showed promise and is now slipping down the road of dreary story lines and empty minded soap slush. The Donte and Chlo storyline is farcical and frankly boring. The behaviour of the teaching characters is beyond belief, staff drunk and popping pills, students exerting authority in schools, underage sex etc... yes very valid and very real issues but Waterloo Road is distorting and using these issues for ratings, when they could be using them to put real teaching values and messages across. I really want Waterloo Road to go back to its roots and focus on real issues faced by schools and to celebrate real success stories in teaching, not this dreary soap pap, its poor, it's weak and it's lazy writing.

Excellent episode. I love the way it so resembles real life. We had the same thing happen with the raffle tickets. And nice twist with Miss Koreshi and the football... who knew? And I can see Mr Clarkson falling for her. And for Jack Rimmer, hats off to the man. I love the way he's playing his part, but someone's been a naughty boy!

I personally feel the last episode trivialised the strength of people's relationships with both Jack and Chlo being unfaithful. But is this just a reflection of today's society, but still a great watch thanks BBC.

Episode 3 of the new series and Waterloo Road is back to its best. I've watched every episode of the show since it started and I was concerned that this new series seemed to be focusing more on the new characters rather than the 'old favourites' who are still there. Normal service was resumed in last night's ep which had everything I've come to expect from the show; comedy, drama, poignancy (and more cringeworthy moments for Steph!) The whole "Who are ya??" chanting made me laugh, and who knew Chlo was such a good goal-scorer?! Almost as shocking as her getting it together with Brett. Great to see more of Maxine in last night's episode. The Steph & Maxine storyline was a highlight of the last series and I'm hoping there's more to come. All in all, a great episode and it bodes well for the rest of the series. Can't wait!

I didn't know what to expect this series, as three of the main characters have left. The first few shows have been outstanding, I'm currently in 6th form and part of my schools SEN departments and I have to help a lad with mild Asperger's Syndrome - it's brilliant to see the different affects of school life and how differently people get treated. I'm absolutely glued to the television on a Thursday evening. It's weird without Izzie, Kim and Andrew and hopefully Kim and Andrew will return in the future. Well done BBC. This show is Fantastic.

I have been watching Waterloo Road from the very first episode and I am delighted that a third series has returned so soon-however; there is one character who causes me concern - Grantley Budgen. He is an aggressive, prejudiced and bigoted snob - in the first series he openly condoned homophobic attitudes by telling an openly gay pupil to not "flaunt his sexuality so often" in response teasing and taunting when the pupil reported incidents of bullying, and now he deals with the pupil Karla with the utmost insensitivity and lack of respect and appreciation. Yet this goes unnoticed. WHY?

I love Waterloo Road, it may not be true to life but it's an exciting programme which has me hooked. I think what we need to remember is that this is fiction; it can't possibly be true to life in every single aspect. Plus it would be incredibly boring if it was. I'm slightly confused as to why Brett and Chlo have managed to get themselves lusting over one another and I think that it wasn't so nice to see the irritating Steph snogging Jack but all in all, it's an entertaining way to spend an evening. I have a feeling that Tom and Jasmine may end up quite close, I'd like to see where that goes. Great series so far, missing my old favourite characters, though.

Wow!! Can't believe Waterloo Road is back, was pottering around with nothing to do on a Thursday night. Fab as ever and I see you still managed to keep some of the old favourites in there (Lewis in the canteen - love it!!) nice to see the chemistry still simmering between Jack & Steph. Jack is a legend and Steph still makes me laugh out loud with her chat up lines. All in all 2 COOL FOR SCHOOL!!

I found this week's episode very funny and well put together. I especially enjoyed Steph who always brings entertainment into each episode. Also it was good to find out they do play sports in the school as not one episode has approached this subject. I can't wait for next week's episode. I'm gripped, especially with the Brett and Chlo storyline.

I really enjoyed this episode - so much happened! Loved Jasmine playing football, Jack getting off with Steph not so much. Janice and Maxine are devious little devils aren't they? Was a bit disgusted when I saw that Chlo and Brett had been sleeping together - she's married and he has a serious girlfriend! Poor Mika was oblivious, and I think that Aleesha should have got the part - she was so much of a better singer! Mika was good too of course.
