Episode 3.20

The final episode of the series was electric, namely the fire towards the end, leaving a cliff-hanger as expected. All the characters played their roles fantastically, especially Chlo, Miss Mason and Bolton. I can't wait for the next series, though winter is a long way off! Well done to all at Waterloo Road for such an exciting and memorable series :)
Katie, Dorset

What a fantastic series! Neil Morrissey and Eva Pope both had huge pairs of shoes to step into after the departure of much loved characters Andrew and Jack, but both managed to pull it off... and then some. Newcomers Jasmine and Matt were great additions to the staff room, whilst it was business as usual for Steph (hilariously bonkers), Grantly (his lovable, curmudgeonly self), and Tom (strong, silent, and broody). As far as the storylines are concerned, well, not many TV shows have me trembling on the edge of tears like Series 3 of Waterloo Road: Maxine and Lewis mourning their dead baby, Matt proposing to Colin, Janeece trying her best to give some dignity to the inhabitants of the retirement home, Rachel making a stand after being outed as a former prostitute... I could go on and on. I think the best thing I can say about Waterloo Road is that there's not one character I don't care about. Roll on Series 4!
Pamela, East Midlands

Oh my god! Talk about edge of my seat! Glad Chlo is ok. I think Davina will be alright too. Can't wait for series 4
Hayley, Crewe

The final episode of series three was amazing, a real grand finale. Excellent work. The ending was great and left me with an odd feeling (poor Davina). I'm really looking forward to the next series.
Philip, Barnard Castle

Absolutely fantastic once again. Wish the next series started a bit earlier and can't wait for the series DVD's to come out. So well done and I hope all goes well creating the next series. (Don't forget to add the surprises, they're the best bit.)
Neal, Scarborough

Oh My GOODNESS! Just watched the last episode of the series and I thought it was bloody AMAZING!!! Can't wait till next winter though :'( Keep up the great work.
Tom, Sutton-in-Ashfield

This really is exceptional drama. Good acting, original story, exciting, thrilling, gripping etc. Keep it up and worth the effort. I cried most of the way through.
Caroline, Banbury

OMG!! What an episode!! Rachel's speech had me in tears and I couldn't stop crying after that!! I really hope Rachel survives. She has changed the school around and the kids are still supporting her. They realise that everything that she has done was for them. I also hope she survives because I want to see some Rachel and Eddie action. Eddie is kicking himself for letting Rachel stay in there. He should have dragged her out of there and let Stuart burn in hell! Eva Pope is a fantastic member of the cast and I hope she is in S4!!
Adele, Banbury

The whole recent series has been fantastic. Well acted and excellently cast. I look forward to a new series... can it be on every week like Holby please??
Rich, Bradford

I don't think I can wait till next winter!!! So glad Donte and Chlo were cuddling at the end though :)
Katie, London

Woah. That was certainly an explosive (or "strong" as the brilliant Eva Pope put it) series finale. Heart breaking, to put it in short. Loved the beginning (Rachel is rather lovely), Rachel's speech and the encounter on the stairs. Rachel was happy, Eddie worked up the courage to ask her out (FINALLY!) and then in the end she was left under the roof with Hordley! Don't let her die! Series 4 just wouldn't be the same without the fabulous banter between Rachel and Eddie. They need to get together!
Emily & Rhiannon, Norfolk

Absolutely fantastic end of term episode! - Really well done! - The best programme I have seen in ages! Can't wait for the next series!! My whole family are addicted to it! - Rachel Mason, Grantly, and Janeece are brilliant! - so funny! I especially loved Rachel's last line, 'stop being a pain in the arse' absolutely fantastic, superb cast... roll on winter for the next series!!!
Katie, Church Fenton

What a way to finish the series. I was left in complete shock yet admiration. Looking forward to Series 4!
Shaun, Wakefield

I think Waterloo Road is fantastic! Wouldn't miss an episode! Tonight's episode was excellent (the final one), but can't believe we have to wait until the winter for the new series! Great to see Dante and Chlo edging closer again and of course the lovely Tom's valiant effort to save her! Looking forward to the new series already! Great TV.
Sarah and Judith, Newcastle upon Tyne

If anything can possibly define the word "entertainment" then Waterloo Road definitely did the job today! I just cannot believe the excitement of today's episode! All I can say is... WOW!!!!! This was an episode to remember without doubt, absolutely thrilling and brilliant! 10/10!!!!
Murrium, London

There are no words for how gripped I was by this episode. I barely blinked the whole way through for fear I'd miss something! It was simply brilliant! Fantastic performances by everyone, especially Eva Pope... I really hope Rachel isn't being killed off... Can't wait for series 4!!!!
Hazie, Yorkshire

A great series which rarely seems to be reviewed either by the press or in the Radio Times. With very little fuss this series has made Thursday evening viewing a must. Can't wait until next winter to see what has happened.
Rosemary, Cheltenham

Great end to a great series - well done! Very much hope that the great character of Grantly is retained in the next series, adds something to the programme none of the other teachers do.
Iain, London

OMG!! Will Rachel make it out in time? She shouldn't have gone back for Stuart! And Bolton saved Davina and all those other kids! What a hero!!
Laura, Harrow

I thought the finale of this series was fantastic. The tension was just brilliant, and it had you on the edge of your seat right until the very end. Now i can't wait till Series 4! Mixed with lots of emotion - sadness and happiness - which made it the best series finale so far!
Amy, Hull

Rachel is so amazing - I will be totally distraught if she doesn't survive!! There is such a connection between her and Eddie, I would love to see how their relationship could blossom. Can't believe we've got to wait until next year to see though :( This series has been FANTASTIC; the cast and storylines have kept me totally hooked - by far the best drama on TV.
Louise, Essex

A great episode, with a great cliffhanger. I hope Rachel survives, because Eddie will be distraught without her. The scenes between the two of them were inevitably some of the best scenes. Get them together and role on series 4.
Laura, Leeds

Waterloo Road is brilliant! I don't watch much telly but I absolutely love this!! I personally think it should be one every week like a proper soap... hint hint!!
Leah, Cornwall

That series ending highlighted in all its drama, passion, and sadness just what Waterloo Road is, and is capable of. It showed that with some raw acting talent, a good script, music and dedication what a show can really be. Tonight's episode was more than a show for me, it finally felt like the old Waterloo Road I loved, and after being a tad disappointed throughout the series it really made me happy and finally content that some of the old Waterloo Road spark was still there. It's good that I want to know who lives and who dies and that I'm already counting down the days until the next series. In all honesty, nothing could have made that episode better, unless perhaps Izzie, Kim and Andrew were there, fighting for their lives, their school and their show. Well Done Shed.
Beth, Leicester

I loved this third series although I was a bit disappointed that the Mika and Brett story line was left hanging in a will they won't they sort of way. It was by far my favourite story line of the series
Lucy, London

Overall it's been a great series and we are left with another cliff hanger as to who is going to survive the fire. I personally think Davina will be back, Tom can't be bereaved twice, it would be too cruel and I would be interested to see if she makes it as a teacher. Sadly I think it's the end of Rachel though. I like Steph because she's funny, and a walking disaster, in contrast to the prissy Mika who I have had trouble warming to, she's extremely self righteous and thinks the whole world should think like she thinks. But let’s hope everyone is back next series alive and well.
Christine, London

Absolutely fantastic! Characters are great, especially Davina and Tom. Would love to see a wedding between them! They deserve to be happy together and make a family. Have really warmed to Rachel throughout each episode and hope that she survives the next series! She's a bit like the Iron Lady, in a nice way. Can't wait till next series!
Emma, Derbyshire

Oh my God! What an end to the series... I can't believe you have left us hanging like this! We have to wait a whole 7 months until we find out if Davina and Rachel live... Tom couldn't go through another loss like this. I am totally mad about the show and the whole cast are fantastic, there isn't one I don't like although I have to say I love Eddie in it, he's a class character! I can't say that there is another show on TV now or ever has been one quite as good. Well done cast and crew on a job well done, keep it up... I am a true fan and roll on September for Series 4.
Sharon, Ireland

The finale had me in tears! The acting was fantastic and I think this series has been the best! Loved Eva Pope and Neil Morrissey, and the Asperger's Storyline!
Alice, Stafford

I totally love watching this show. In comparison, it makes my school seem really boring. Thanks to everyone involved for giving us high school kids something to look forwards to on Thursday nights.
Caitlin, Ashington

The last episode was so good and I can't wait for the next series. I was so desperate for Bolton to get out of the school in the fire and I'm glad he did! Bring on the next series.
Ollie, Northamptonshire

WOW... what an episode!! A great finish to a fantastic term at Waterloo Road. I am going to miss the drama on Thursday nights so much... this episode had me weeping throughout, especially when Bolton saved the day with his clever idea. I would never have thought of that!! But what's going to happen next series? I hope Davina doesn't die as Tom as already lost enough women in his life - Lorna, Izzie, and now possibly Davina! I also loved the ongoing chemistry between Donte and Chlo... it was so sweet! They obviously still really love each other, although I don't think Donte's girlfriend was lying about being pregnant. I'll just have to wait till 2009. BOO HOO. Thank you cast and crew of Waterloo Road for this exciting series... but please help me and put the 4th Series on sooner... Please??!!!
Zoe, London

I love watching Waterloo Road because there is always something interesting going on, such as Miss Mason's past and Grantly's gambling. This series has been ultra exciting all the way through and I cannot wait for Series 4! I can't wait to find out if Donte and Chlo ever get back together or if Davina gets better after the fire!
Kayleigh, Manchester

In the last episode of the series, it was so dramatic!! It was fab. How come their hasn't been any romance between Eddie and Rachel yet? I really hope Rachel doesn't die - she is a fab head teacher, better than mine!! :)
Ella, London

The final episode: full of action. I was on the end of my seat all the way through. I particularly enjoyed the strength in character Rachel showed; great cliffhangers. I can't wait till next series!
Jon, Epsom

The last episode was so sad, but really well made; it seemed really real and emotional. Poor Rachel, if she goes the show will not be the same, I won't be able to watch! What will Eddie do?
Izzy, Norfolk

Excellent episode and a truly spectacular way to end the series. I can't wait to see Series Four - hope Rachel and Davina are okay...
Matthew, Manchester

Interesting series. Chlo and Donte get married at the start... then Brett's in bed with her, much to Donte's disbelief... Jack Rimmer resigns... then Mika is an eco terrorist to rescue some trees and at the end, an explosion in the school canteen, from the dastardly Stuart Hordley's cigarette. Great stuff!!!
Luke, St Helens

Noooooo!! You can't end like that. I need to know if Rachel is ok! I really hope she survives and stays... it won't be the same without her. Finally, Eddie asks Rachel out. I hope there will be more of them 'together' in the next series. I can't wait for Series 4!!!
Rose, Wales

Series 3 started off excellently and got me hooked. However, the middle of the series just didn't captivate me in the same way that the previous two series did and I began to wonder whether I would bother watching series 4. The last episode made the decision for me. It was undoubtedly the best in the series and had me on the edge of the seat for the duration. Let's hope that Series 4 will continue in the manner. Another conquest for the BBC!
Annabelle, Epsom

I was literally sitting off the edge of my seat! I'm so glad Chlo made it out ok and I hope that both Rachel and Davina survive. If not then Tom's going to be one very unlucky man! All the women in his life will have died, but hopefully that won't happen with Davina. I can't believe Rachel went back for Stuart, after all he's done. He should have been left to perish! It was such a brilliant episode though, and I can't wait for series 4!
Alice, Lincolnshire

I loved watching Series 3. The last episode was fantastic and I really can't wait to find out who survives and who died in the fire. But why do we have to wait over a year for the new series??
Michelle, Luton

Great finale to the series. Best series on TV by a mile, Thursday's just won't be the same from now on! Roll on Series 4 and Kim coming back. I hope Rachel & Davina survive and Hordley perishes like he deserves too for what he did to Rachel. Great reaction by pupils and staff after Rachel's speech showed exactly how much they are behind her (especially Bolton).
Mark, Nottingham

Absolutely fabulous - some of the situations are sooo real (I know, I work in a school). Congratulations - here's to Series 4 please.
Julia, Nr Clitheroe

Purely Belter!! What a way to go out in style... shame we got to wait till 2009 though, that's a bit of a disappointment, but must admit this series was the best by far, good storylines and very good cast!! Can't wait for 2009!!
Marko, Doncaster

WOW! What a brilliant finish to a brilliant series. It really has been a very entertaining show and I will miss it on a Thursday now!! Loved the last episode full of fun laughter and humour and then of course struck by tragedy again!! Well done to all involved, can't wait for Series 4!
Mia, Blackburn

I was worried Series 3 would not be as good as Series 2 due to losing so many good key characters and I was right, it wasn't as good as Series 2... it was a million times better! Although I do miss the characters who left especially Izzie, the show has taken a different direction and this series was brilliant. My favourite storyline would have to be the Tom, Chlo, Mika plot. Seeing the way they all coped with losing Izzie and becoming a family. Although I think earlier on there could have been some grieving scenes between the girls I liked how they showed the effect of losing their mum in other ways such as Chlo making all the mistakes she did and Mika throwing herself into saving the environment. At last Chlo and Donte are reunited!! And a good storyline for Series 4 being set up now that Celine is pregnant
Beth, Preston

Brilliant last episode! Really hope Davina isn't dead, don't think she will be as that will be 3 people Tom has lost and that's far too many! Hope Rachael survives and is still head teacher. Eve Pope has been strong enough to replace Jack as head, but a third person may not be and without a good strong head teacher, Waterloo Road will slip. Hope they keep the timescale real and the school isn't magically repaired in 6 weeks!! And I really hope Mika is still in it as she as now finished 6th form and the college won't be finished in time - wouldn't be the same without her.
Lyn, Lancashire

What a cliffhanger!!! God I hope that Rachel survives. Best Head ever!!
Max, England

I absolutely loved this series! It had me glued to the screen from episode 1! I think that Chlo and Donte were a bit too young to get married, as proved in the Brett-Chlo-Donte storyline. I really hope Chlo and Donte get back together as they are such a great couple! Overall, a brilliant series, and I can't wait until Series 4!!!
Leigh, England

The last episode was absolutely amazing, the special effects were incredible! I especially liked the bit when Donte saved Chlo, it really just made you go "awwww". I hope that Davina Shackleton will be okay, and hopefully Miss Mason will be too! Can't wait for Series 4!
Steph, Leeds

Fantastic, brilliant acting. My mum and I are huge huge fans. Mum says it's grown up Grange Hill.
Pax, Manchester
