Episode 2.10
I've loved Waterloo Road since the first episode- a fiendishly good plot combined with an accurate social commentary. Lorna's death was an excellent piece of screenwriting. She's a character for whom I've never harboured much compassion, yet her suicide challenged this. Is she cowardly and vicious or simply tragic? It really showed the strength of those who live with MS. In my opinion, Waterloo Road reinvigorated Sunday (and now Thursday) nights, and is one of the best drama series on television for a long time. Keep it up!

As a person with MS I feel it would have been good for you to show this storyline in terms of Lorna coming to terms with it and continuing her life with the same ambitions. I feel your take on it indicates that this illness means the end - it certainly does not and anyone recently diagnosed or even a few months after this programme could have quite an affect and not a good one. If I had watched it I think it may have affected how I dealt with it. I too am only young (26) and been diagnosed for 2.5 years however am married, work, holiday and still do all that I used to simply by listening to my body, using limitations and small changes to my lifestyle however nobody would have a clue and those that do forget at times. I just thought this was worth pointing out - at the beginning of this issue I thought you may show how many of us deal with it and carry on rather than the worst parts and most negative things/comments as many programmes always do.

I'm 34, and male, and I started to say 'no no no, please don't do it' when Lorna began to pierce the top of the bottle. Then, when she said, "I'm going to go now" I found myself crying. It has been a long time since I experienced such emotion through a TV Drama, and its all credit to the writers, and the brilliant skills of Camilla Power, to make it so tragic and moving.

A great success! I am new to the show this series and I have no regrets about tuning in. The cast perform each role fantastically. There's always a little bit of humour each week and it is a pleasure to watch. Well done BBC, I always look forward to Thursday evening's thanks to Waterloo Road. Credit to all cast members!

I feel saddened by your portrayal of MS in the show. I am a young teacher recently diagnosed with the condition so obviously I could relate to Lorna's character. I feel that many people misunderstand the disease. You had a marvellous opportunity to highlight the condition and the difficulties and the range of symptoms that can occur. Instead you chose to portray it as an insurmountable problem with only one way out. What a shame.

Episode 2.10 Lorna takes her life. Best episode ever! Totally riveted! I never write reviews and I never cry watching TV but I have to say that watching this episode has resulted in me doing both! Even my missus was sobbing and she's nuts. Brilliantly acted and filmed! Well done.

Waterloo Road ticks all the right boxes, I haven't missed an episode yet. This is awesome. Outstanding acting, the storylines are brill! And the Music WOW just gets better and better! Keep up the good work!

I am really disappointed with Lorna's character. I have MS and thank you so much for showing suicide as the way to deal with it. I was hoping for information about MS to be positive and supportive. My friends seem already scared about it now what should they think? That I may not be able to cope with the numerous symptoms and unknown future? I would like more people to understand MS not be scared of it.

Disgusted by the treatment of MS in the show. It was a perfect chance to let those who do not know about the condition to get the facts, and see how people adapt their life to the changes the condition brings. Sadly this chance has been wasted and viewers have been left with the wrong idea of those that suffer from MS.

Loving the new series! Feel so sorry for Izzie though. And poor Lorna. So upsetting when she committed suicide last night. It was also upsetting how Izzie figured it all out and they both got really emotional with the letter! Can't wait for the DVD's.

WOW! I'm actually quite surprised I enjoyed this episode as Andrew and Kim were hardly in it but, for the first time, I found myself actually caring about the characters of Tom, Izzie and especially Lorna. The scenes in the cottage were fantastic - first class acting from all involved but a very sad outcome. Elsewhere I'm glad Jack dumped Davina - I don't like her!

Your episode dated 12th March. I have to say as a MS Sufferer, i found this episode to be a total disgrace to people that are living with this disease day in/day out. There seem to be no compassion, there was a total lack of knowledge. I feel this was not investigated properly. People that suffer from MS seem to become stronger people & fight harder to maintain a normal life. If you are a newly diagnosed person this episode could have implied that there is no hope out there, when there certainly is, i.e. consultants, GP's, MS nurses, MS Centres, etc. I felt your broadcast sent out a very negative message that devalued the position of not only the sufferers but also the hard work of the carers.

That episode was fantastic! The stuff involving Jack and Davina was fab, great acting by both but it's great to see Christine Tremarco at her best! Not enough of Kim and Andrew again, but the stuff between Lorna, Izzie and Tom was brilliant, great ending to the programme, and I must admit that a shared a tear to Lorna's death! Never really liked her, but Camilla Power is a great actress, and shall be missed! Can't wait until next week, two episodes left and I don't want it to finish!

This is such a brilliant show and the episode on 12th April was fantastic. I had no idea of what Lorna was about to do. It was so sad when her letter was read out. I'm so glad that Mika and Brett are together. It had to happen and hopefully they will stay together. Finally Jack has found out about Brett and Davina, which is good. I hope that Andrew and Kim pair up together. It is a great show and I hope that there is a third series.

Episode 10 - Well, what can I say, but WOW? This was beautifully written and directed, so much so that the moment when Lorna passed away, I cried. (What a softy I am!). It's a great series, and long may it continue. Thank you Shed!!

Lorna's death really was a tear jerker! Each episode appeals to varying emotions - brilliant TV. My whole family eagerly sit down to watch it every week, we're desperately hoping for a third series. And as a 16 year girl I must commend Tom Payne's dashing good looks - they certainly add to the enjoyment! Keep up the addictive storylines and get Andrew and Kim together, they deserve a happy ending!

I think the new series is absolutely brilliant! I hope you plan to make a series 3. I think though that Lorna has had a lot of bad luck since day 1: Getting an abortion, finding out about Izzie and Tom, divorce, Izzie getting pregnant, being diagnosed, accidently hurting (and killing) Izzie's baby. Then she dies (well we think) yes everybody else in the show has had back, but she has had the worst of it and I think it is a bit depressing. Apart from that keep up the good work!

An amazing, drama-packed episode, with great acting from all involved. I've never really liked Lorna but have to say I felt sorry for her tonight, thanks to a great performance from Camilla Power. Can't wait for next week - more Kim and Andrew hopefully as they took such a backseat this episode!

I watched Waterloo road on the advice of a friend. I am a teacher and have MS (diagnosed in 1990). I am sorry about the portrayal of this condition and the suicide as a result of the diagnosis. While it can be totally disabling it is also possible to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. I feel for anyone who has recently been diagnosed and who watched this programme. A more positive approach would have been more helpful.

I thought this episode was excellent; everything was handled with extreme sympathy. This show is very close to what actually goes on behind the scenes in most schools. I know a lot of teachers, and listening to them sometimes is like watching a Waterloo Road episode. This is all down to the excellent writing. Please keep the series' coming I can't wait for the next series. Has it been filmed? And is there somewhere I can download it? Thank you for a very enjoyable hour on Thursday nights and the 20.00hrs scheduling is brilliant timing.
