Your Reviews - Series Five
Episode 5.3
I have enjoyed the start to the new series. I have to say well done to all who have had an input to the brilliant work. I don't normally post reviews; however, I do wish to comment on the approach to the storyline with bullying. It is a common factor that is apparent in schools and I feel that it is never highlighted enough on TV in any form. For this I praise Waterloo Road because it does not seem to fail in dealing with this matter with using Karla (and in last series Phillip as well). It is normally the students who are normally deemed slightly 'weird' or 'different' because of disability, learning difficulty, or not finding school easy that are quite often subjected to this kind of inappropriate torment and discrimination within mainstream schools. I feel that Waterloo Road handles this issue well (alongside others) and other programmes should take a leaf out of the writers book that it is not pretty people who make up a soap or drama, it is the content, the acting and how it is approached. Well done.

Episode 5.3 was so good!! I love Paul so obviously I loved this storyline with him in it and I think it highlighted the dangers of alcohol to viewers as well as making a good programme! I really hope that Rachel can make a stand against Max and start making Waterloo Road, Waterloo Road again! The first 3 episodes of Waterloo Road Series 5 have not failed to disappoint so well done!

Loving this new series of Waterloo road! I do believe it is the best yet, with all the new characters definitely making up for losing the likes of Janeece, Donte and Chlo. Can't wait for next week’s episode! Keep up the good work :)

Amazing. But it’s not the same old Waterloo Road we all know and love... the merger with John Fosters, bringing the new head in and the romance between him and Kim just ruins it. We liked it when Rachel was in charge!

An amazing start to series 5 focusing on the new intake of characters; who all seem to add different aspects to the show. Max has been written in such a way he is hated due to his style of discipline. This caused empathy to be felt for the characters that he was addressing with excellent acting shown by Eva Pope. Perhaps could have done with being another extended episode like last year but in general it was another excellent episode with great acting by both the new and existing characters; the only criticism would be the characters which have just disappeared without a mention (Andrew, Jasmine and Matt). However the new characters seem capable of replacing these rather effortlessly (well apart from Helen 'Hopeless' Hopewell). Can't wait for the rest of the series if this episode is anything to go by.

OMG I love Waterloo Road! I think it's good that Michaela has got someone as feisty as her in Lindsey, but I hated what her and her friends did to Karla when all she was trying to do was help Em.

Love it. The tension between Lindsay and Michaela is getting really strong and is becoming really entertaining. Myself and a group of friends from school all watch it on Wednesday night and text each other about what's going on. It's something we can all relate to and it's a great talking point for Thursday morning at school. Almost everybody onscreen reminds us of a certain teacher or pupil as the characters are all relatable and believable.

Episode 3 was absolutely amazing, the best in the series so far. It was a brilliant story line - very inventive! I think had the right balance of being believable and action-packed. I love Karla she was amazing at the end of the episode. She was the highlight even though it was quite sad!!

Waterloo Road just keeps getting better! I love how Max and Rachel are at constant loggerheads, and the merge with John Fosters was a fantastic idea! Keep the good ideas coming!

I think Waterloo Road is so good this series. Last year’s Series 4 was amazing and I hope that 5 will be the same. I love the tension between Michaela and Lindsey, and the bond between the teachers and students as well. And Grantly just makes me laugh. :) But Max is nasty, especially to Rachel :) xx

I think series 5 of Waterloo Road is okay, but I think there's too much drama being squashed into one hour. In episode 3 we had the ethanol situation, Aleesha and Danielle arriving in school drunk, Karla being pushed to the floor by Lindsey and her friends, Tom going to the university to sort things out with Josh's mum, Siobhan getting the tattoo then regretting it. I think the episodes are exciting and good to watch, but I think that with the characters you've got, you could make it quite funny rather than so serious and dramatic. I enjoy it though!
