Your Reviews - Series Four
Episode 4.1
Oh my god!!! I'm so glad the show is finally back. Thank god Rachel is okay. I wanted to cry at the end when she showed her scars to Eddie. What the hell is wrong with Grantly? Take the cat off your head LOL! This episode was brilliant and I can't wait for episode 2. I'm so excited to see what will happen next.

THAT WIG WAS HILARIOUS! Please say Grantly has it on throughout the whole series?!!? So funny. This programme rocks!

My family and I all watch Waterloo Road and we were talking about the quality of acting. All of the actors are brilliant and so talented; no matter how big or small their part. I am an aspiring actress and only hope that I can be as good as the actors in Waterloo Road. Please keep up the excellent work!

Liking the new family! Especially Marley!! Shame Mika has left she was my favourite character. Thought tonight there was too much focus on Rachel, Davina nearly died too but that was forgotten!! But least Chlo and Donte are back together! And it looks like there will be a new cute couple Marley and Flick - not sure about her though. And looks like Maxine has got herself another bad boy Earl! Even worse than Seddon!! The young boy who plays Denzil is a very good actor.

That episode was amazing! I felt really sorry for Denzil at the end! I thought Donte got shot!! And how evil is Earl! I think he's going to be a VERY interesting character...

Loved the first episode! I’ve watched it three times already! Eva did a great job! - what a great actress! Also Earl and his older brother are totally hot! Love this show! I hope it becomes a regular on TV similar to Holby City!! :D Roll on next Wednesday! :) x

Wow! I was not expecting that for a start of a series. It was funny, fast paced and dramatic with fantastic new characters and great returns from the old cast members. I am thrilled to know that Rachel and Davina both survived and I will be watching on tenterhooks for the Eddie/Rachel and the will they/won't they storyline. I hope they will...

The new episode of waterloo road had me totally on edge! It was absolutely fantastic, and the acting was impeccable. A big well done to the writers; the best come-back in a show I’ve seen in a long time!

I was very surprised that you should televise this programme so early in the evening. It contained controversial material and was very menacing. Due to the country's problem with gun crime, it was unsuitable material before 9pm watershed. I am 63 years of age and I woke in the night from a dream about being shot. What further proof do we need that violent programmes affect us and the young people?

The opening episode was very good but, for me, the stand-out was Reece Noi who played his character with such conviction. It's not often you see such fantastic performances - congratulations to him.

This is the only programme on any TV station which I actually watch as opposed to scanning the channels then switching off. I caught up with Waterloo Road half way through the first series and was hooked. I was SO excited to hear that there was a new series and actually sat down to watch it last night but with trepidation as I didn't know if it could live up to the previous series. OMG it was FABULOUS! The storyline, the acting, EVERYTHING about it... well apart from the daft Grantly wig thing because no-one (even Grantly) would be daft enough to don that hamster like thing on his head and think he wouldn't get a load of stick from students and teachers alike. Thank you SO much for actually making me feel that for a short time each week my TV licence is worth the money...

The first episode of Waterloo Road had me hooked! It doesn’t fail to entertain. The episode was brilliant and I know this series will be amazing! Acting was brilliant all around and little Denzil is soo cute! I cannot believe his brother is so evil! Excellent!

Fantastic start - I was glued to my seat mainly due to the hot arrival of Marley! WOW! It's going to be interesting what will happen in the next episode!

Great to see Waterloo Road back, but quite concerned about the gun screens last night being on so early. Our son who is 10 loves to watch but we had to send him to bed as we thought the gun scenes were not appropriate.

Wow! I loved the feature length episode, my eyes were glued to the screen! The new family are great - Earl is such an interesting and charming character. Steph is hilarious as always! It was great seeing Bolton again, and it would be great if Flick and Marley have a romance, their chemistry was really undeniable! The teachers are a whole other dimension to the show. I adore Rachel's courage.

OMG! I never really watched Waterloo Road before, but I caught it on BBC iPlayer today and was glued from start to finish. A great way to start off the new series. The whole storyline was great, but nearing the end I felt sooo sad for Denzil. I must say congrats to Reece Noi, he played Earl so well I wanted to literally smack him in the face because that’s how caught up I was with the story. I felt such hatred for his character it’s unbelievable. Can’t wait for next week’s episode!!

As a teacher I'm concerned about how my profession is represented. I understand the need for dramatic licence but showing a teacher physically grabbing a student and pushing him around should not be represented as acceptable, as if a teacher actually did this it would be a sackable offence (this is obviously inconsistent with Miss Kareshi's suspension last term). The previous season's treatment of the Asperger's pupil also involved a teacher behaving in a manner that should have seen him up for disciplinary action by SMT. The teachers are repeatedly seen to be acting unethically and there are no consequences for their actions. There is plenty of genuine drama in the staffroom but in Waterloo Road, teachers act without repercussions. You should be aware that you are representing the teaching profession and as such the representation should be fair.

I absolutely love Waterloo Road!! This is what British TV is missing, a young drama where the youth are the focus, tackling social issues they come across. And then counteracting it with how the youth interact with the adults and the craziness the adults get up to that drive young people mad!! Episode 1 of Season 4 or (4.1) Made for great television. I CRIED!!! (sad I know) but I really felt for Denzil, and believe it or not Earl. My heart related to the entire story line, and I loved the genius behind the production and the plot. You showed that there are 2 sides to every story. Imagine how Denzil would be portrayed in the papers if it were real? Now imagine how wrong that portrayal would've been!! Thank you for giving me a reason to tune in every Wednesday @ 8.00pm!!

So pleased WR is back!!! Although I really hope this series does not mainly focus on Rachel and the Kelly family as I feel it may. New characters are good but there was not enough focus on the original characters tonight - hope that changes!! Shame there was no mention of Mika or Brett, especially Mika as she was an original cast member and last series was all about her, Chlo and Tom has a family. Love the scenes with Janeece and Maxine!

This episode was far too violent and dark to be broadcast before the watershed. Depressing to see a young actor playing such a sadistic role. I found the gun pointing scenes totally offensive and would imagine a lot of teenagers watching would see this as cool regardless of whether the character gets his comeuppance. A desperate and unnecessary attempt at increasing the ratings.

I love Waterloo Road! The storylines are great and I especially like Rachel. I think Eva Pope, who plays her is a wonderful actress. The first episode shows that for some people family life is very difficult and it isn't easy when you are always new at school! Hope Rachel gets her confidence back!

The new episode was brilliant and had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. And the new family will keep us entertained all the way through this new series. Although, it's a shame Mika has gone, perhaps she could come back as a student teacher or something.

I’m struggling with tonight’s episode. On one hand I think brilliant acting - especially by the "new" family - the 3 brothers were exceptional!!! HOWEVER part of me can’t help feeling that it was a blatant stereotype at the same time!!! Single mother - black / mixed raced kids - off the rails?!?! Will have to think more on this.
Rachel, London
I thought the start to the new series of Waterloo Road was the best start I've seen! It was nice to see that it was highlighting the real issues that go on in schools these days. I was really touched... and yes maybe shed a few tears. Can't wait until next week.
