WHAT HAPPENED TO BRETT AT THE END OF THE LAST SERIES?
After a rocky year he had settled in nicely at the school with the prettiest girlfriend he could find!

DO YOU THINK BRETT HAS CHANGED SINCE HE ARRIVED AT WATERLOO ROAD IN THE LAST SERIES?
I think now that he's settled in at the school he's calmed down a bit and feels less like he has to make an impression.

WHAT DOES BRETT REALLY THINK ABOUT MIKA AND THEIR RELATIONSHIP?
I'm not sure Brett thinks about it that much actually, it's just a part of his life that's coming along nicely and he's happy to go along with it. I don't think he's at all ready to tie himself down though. He's only 18 with his whole life ahead of him and he won't let anything hold him back.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORYLINE COMING UP AND WHY?
The musical was lots of fun to do and I'm told it looks very good. We'll have to wait and see though!

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO DO AFTER FINISHING FILMING THE SERIES?
Go on holiday! Then find some more acting work.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BRETT?
I like Brett's independence, his fieriness and youthful arrogance. I also like his car! He's got this great American jeep. I am not normally a fan of 4x4's but the one Brett drives is pretty smart.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE LEAST ABOUT PLAYING BRETT?
I didn't enjoy the infidelity storyline as I don't really understand why it happened. Also I'm sure as a result of this storyline the public's attitude to me will change a lot!

WOULD YOU LIKE BRETT IF YOU MET THEM?
Yes I would like him. But I might think he is bit spoilt.

WHAT ARE BRETT'S LIFE VALUES AND DO THESE DIFFER FROM YOUR OWN?
Brett is yet to discover what is really important in life but has a strong sense of what he believes to be right and wrong and is not afraid to question things.

HOW ARE YOU SIMILAR OR DIFFERENT TO BRETT?
I definitely had a touch of his blind confidence and changeable emotion at school but never had the same conflicts with my family and I am not an only child.

WHICH OTHER CHARACTER DOES BRETT RELATE BEST TO?
He would hate to admit it but probably his father in Series Two as although they didn't get on, they carry similar traits.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ACTING ROLE?
My first TV role was in Casualty and my first professional theatre role was playing Raleigh in Journey's End.

WHAT ROLE ARE YOU BEST KNOWN FOR?
This one. And I did an episode of Skins which seems to have been very popular also.

The people, cast and crew. Discovering Manchester.

HAVE YOU ANY LONG TERM GOALS OR AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE?
To continue to earn a living from acting.

HOW DO YOU KEEP IN SHAPE?
By walking everywhere and trying to eat as healthily as possible.

Various parts of the south of England.

CAN YOU COOK?
Recently I've been trying to cook a bit more. I wouldn't say I had a signature dish yet but I do make a nice pasta sauce!

WHEN DID YOU KNOW YOU WANTED TO BE AN ACTOR?
I don't think there was a particular defining moment. My first encounter was when I was about seven years old and I was dragged into a classroom to audition for the school play. I ended up playing an elf and I loved it. I think they had recognised I had a loud voice, and being quite confident thought I'd be good in the play. I carried on acting in all the school productions and then when I realised I enjoyed acting more than anything else at school I decided to carry on. I auditioned for drama school and went to the Central School of Speech and Drama.

ARE ANY OF YOUR FAMILY IN THE MEDIA?
My Mum is a make up artist and my Dad used to work in regional television.

WHAT IS THE BEST BIT ABOUT FILMING?
Joking around with the cast and crew.

FAVE BAND?
I go through stages with bands where I just listen to mainly one at a time. I don't really have a favourite, I like all kinds.

LAST DVD YOU WATCHED?
At the moment I am watching the BBC series Planet Earth on DVD, it is truly amazing.

FAVE ALL TIME FILM?
I don't really have a favourite. Anything with a strong storyline that's well acted. Films like: Se7en, Fight Club, American History X etc.

LAST MUSIC YOU DOWNLOADED OR BOUGHT?
All of Reef's back catalogue and all of Kanye West's.
