Katie GriffithsKatie Griffiths plays Chlo Grainger

WHAT HAPPENED TO CHLO AT THE END OF THE LAST SERIES?
Chlo realised and then revealed that she really wanted to marry Donte, and as she believes her mum isn't taking her seriously, she is left contemplating running away with her boyfriend.

DO YOU THINK CHLO HAS CHANGED AT ALL, AND IF SO, HOW AND WHY?
After every year I think Chlo gets a little wiser and more mature - as teenagers do. As we see at the start of the series, she still makes some big mistakes, but she learns from them.

CHLO WENT THROUGH A VERY TRAUMATIC TIME WITH THE LOSS OF HER MUM, HOW HAS THIS CHANGED CHLO'S LIFE?
Izzie's death had a huge impact on Chlo. I think throughout the series and especially at the beginning, we see Chlo trying to fill a hole in her life.

CHLO AND DONTE GET MARRIED THIS SERIES - WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS? DO YOU THINK THEY SHOULD WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE OLDER?
Personally, I feel Chlo and Donte are far too young to get married - it would scare the hell out of me if I was their age! I think they should've waited until they were at least in their twenties. But, considering her situation and their strong feelings for one another, I can begin to see why they did what they did.

HOW IS CHLO'S RELATIONSHIP WITH TOM GOING?
Chlo's relationship with Tom has grown and she now sees him more as a father figure. Although she doesn't fully appreciate his feelings at first, their relationship goes from strength to strength.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORYLINE THIS SERIES?
There are quite a few new characters and storylines I like this series, but my favourite would have to be Karla Bentham's Asperger's story. I think it's highly original and very interesting to watch as it's a subject I don't know a lot about and isn't commonly used.

WHAT DID YOU DO BETWEEN FILMING THE LAST SERIES OF WATERLOO ROAD AND THIS ONE?
After filming series two I recorded a radio version of Henrick Ibsen's "The Wild Duck" for BBC Radio 3. In February, I filmed an episode of Casualty. Then I got the part of Alice in the BBC drama "Coming Down the Mountain". In between filming I did what I do best and chilled out with friends!

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT RECORDING WATERLOO ROAD?
I've loved filming Waterloo Road, the whole experience has been enjoyable. Working with different actors and directors has been great. The day-to-day shooting never fails to be entertaining.

WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP LIKE WITH THE OTHER CAST MEMBERS, YOUNGER AND OLDER?
Everyone is really friendly and I get on with both the older cast members and the people who are the same ages me.

IF YOU COULD WORK WITH ANY ACTOR IN THE WORLD, WHO WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Wow, a difficult question as there are so many actors I would love to work with. Anthony Hopkins or Brenda Blethyn to Nicole Kidman or Edward Norton because they all have the ability to have you glued to the screen and you don't want to miss a thing they say or do.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PROJECTS LINED UP AFTER WATERLOO ROAD HAS FINISHED FILMING?
I haven't got anything lined up for when we finish but I think I would like to audition for drama school as that is the next step I want to take.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE TRYING TO GET IN TO ACTING?
The advice I would give would be, remain focused and make sure it is something you really really want to do. Find an agent that suits you. And ALWAYS use your instinct!
