WHAT HAPPENED TO TOM AT THE END OF LAST SERIES?
Tom and Izzie got together with Lorna's blessing (or so they thought). At the beginning of this series Tom and Izzie are happily together believing Lorna is miles away. But when they walk into school on their first day, they walk slap bang into Lorna. It's a massive shock to them both.

DO YOU THINK TOM HAS CHANGED AT ALL?
Tom is just the same this series. He never thinks ahead. And he's a rather lazy teacher. But he loves Izzie and has adjusted well to the responsibility of living with them all. So there are no fundamental changes. He, like everyone else is affected by the experiences that he has. In this case a failed marriage and the loss of a child.

HOW IS TOM'S RELATIONSHIP WITH IZZIE GOING?
Tom and Izzie are really happy and having a baby together. They have just had a relaxed long summer holiday and it is all going well for them until the first day back at school. They get a shock when they find Lorna in the staffroom. So having Lorna back on the scene means their relationship is suddenly put under an enormous amount of strain. And the whole situation does become impossible.

HOW DOES TOM FEEL ABOUT BECOMING A FATHER?
He's really excited to be having a baby with the woman he loves. It means everything.

WHAT IS TOM'S RELATIONSHIP LIKE WITH LORNA NOW?
At first Tom is very suspicious of Lorna's motives for returning to the school and remaining a part of their lives. He can't believe how thick skinned she is being. But later when he learns of her illness he is reminded of why he once loved her the way he did.

TOM GETS IN TO A TRICKY SITUATION WITH A STUDENT. TELL US WHAT HAPPENS:
A young student becomes infatuated with Tom and climbs into bed with him one night on a sleepover with Chlo. He is unaware of her obsession and is preoccupied with his problems with Izzie. He doesn't read the signals at all and is really naive.

BULLYING IS AN ISSUE THIS SERIES. IS TOM INVOLVED?
No, Tom's not directly involved, but Mika, Izzie's daughter, who lives in the same house as him is being bullied badly and he and Izzie don't notice or pick up on the signs. They are both preoccupied with their own troubles. But later Tom is suspicious Brett isn't telling the whole truth so does then question him.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD TO GIVE ADVICE IN REGARDS TO BULLYING, OR TAKE IT YOURSELF?
My advice would be this... tell someone. A teacher, a friend whoever you trust and remember that these bullies that have a hold over you within your current peer group will be irrelevant to your life in five years time.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT RECORDING WATERLOO ROAD?
There are a lot of fun characters within the cast and crew, subsequently there is always something or someone to make me laugh.

DO YOU THINK IT IS IMPORTANT FOR TELEVISION PROGRAMS TO ILLUSTRATE ISSUES?
Television should be entertaining or informative I like drama to be a reflection of life.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORYLINE THIS SERIES?
Anything to do with Lewis Seddon is highly entertaining!

WHAT DID YOU DO BETWEEN SERIES?
Between series I took my girlfriend to a villa in St Lucia.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER PROJECTS LINED UP AFTER WATERLOO ROAD HAS FINISHED FILMING?
I'm currently writing my second short film.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ACTING ROLE?
TV series called The Andersons - it was a social drama where there were family problems within. I was 18.

I was once suspended.
