Davina is the new school secretary. She's out going and impulsive and likes to be in control. She's also good at her job and has Jack's chaos sorted out within minutes. He really wasn't coping before Davina turned up.

Clever, outgoing, impulsive.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT DAVINA?
I like the fact Davina knows how to enjoy her self. She's extremely organised but also likes to have fun too. She is quite into her make up and clothes. She definitely likes to look good and makes an effort to dress up for her job.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE LEAST ABOUT DAVINA?
She tends to act without thinking things through, and costume wise - she loves heels - which can be painful at times!

WOULD YOU LIKE DAVINA IF YOU MET HER?
I hope so!

HOW SIMILAR OR DIFFERENT TO DAVINA ARE YOU?
Davina is very organised - and unfortunately I'm not. But being so organised means she is efficient at her job which is a good thing. I think I would be a lousy school secretary.

DOES DAVINA HAVE A LOVE INTEREST?
Yes it's not all work and no play for Davina as she starts dating her boss Jack Rimmer. However, on the side she also has this flirtation with Brett who's a student. She sees it as a bit of excitement and fun, but it's a dangerous game to mix the two. And it is all going on at Waterloo Road.

WHY DO YOU THINK DAVINA IS ATTRACTED TO JACK?
Davina is attracted to Jack the moment she meets him. Jack is charming and funny and has a heart of gold - he is cute too.

WHICH CHARACTER AT WATERLOO ROAD DOES DAVINA RELATE BEST TO?
Davina relates best to Jack as they get on so well and challenge each other.

WHAT WERE YOUR FIRST IMPRESSIONS ON ARRIVING AT THE WATERLOO ROAD SET?
The first time I walked onto the Waterloo Road set it brought memories flooding back. But it also made me feel old! Also because I only joined the cast this year it was a bit like my first day at school. And I was the only new girl!

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST PROFESSIONAL ACTING ROLE?
It was a two-part Drama, called 'The Leaving of Liverpool' I was fourteen and at a drama group when I was cast. It was a great opportunity and we filmed in Australia. It was about orphans shipped out to Australia in the 1950s and the hardship they went through. It was amazing to have got that opportunity.

WHAT ROLE ARE YOU BEST KNOWN FOR?
I have no idea! I suppose various things I've done. Dalziel and Pascoe, Fat Friends to name a few.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORYLINE COMING UP AND WHY?
Gosh I have lots of favourite storylines with this job but I suppose my favourite storyline would be towards the end of the series. I don't want to give too much away but Davina needs to win Jack back after he's dumped her! But the story was good to do as there are lots of emotional scenes. It is very clear Davina, really, really, doesn't want to lose Jack.

BULLYING IS A TOPIC COVERED THIS SERIES. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN BULLIED?
No, thankfully I haven't been bullied. But I realise how awful it must be if you found yourself in that situation.

WHAT WOULD YOU ADVISE A PERSON TO DO IF THEY WERE BULLIED?
It can be a difficult subject to discuss. But ideally anyone being bullied should try and talk to a member of their family or if they can't do that perhaps find a teacher they trust. I think it's the only way to handle it properly. It's just too difficult to go through it on your own and you can be completely powerless to stop bullies alone.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT RECORDING WATERLOO ROAD?
I have really enjoyed working with such a wonderful cast and the crew are fantastic. We film at a disused school in Rochdale and infact I have never laughed so much on a job. It's been a lot of fun.

WHAT ARE YOU HOPING TO DO AFTER FINISHING FILMING THE SERIES?
I'm going to take a holiday and then hope for some more work!

HAVE YOU ANY LONG TERM GOALS OR AMBITIONS FOR THE FUTURE?
Yes, I'd like to carry on working on interesting projects.

HOW DO YOU KEEP IN SHAPE?
I swim and I also enjoy long walks.

WATERLOO ROAD IS FILMED IN ROCHDALE NEAR MANCHESTER, ARE YOU ENJOYING LIVING AND WORKING AROUND MANCHESTER?
Yes I love Manchester, it's a great city and the atmosphere is wonderful. I love working here - also it's not far home to Liverpool where I was brought up.

HAVE YOU MANAGED TO SEE MUCH OF THE LOCAL AREA?
Sadly no, as I've spent most of the time in the school so I've not seen much of the surrounding area to Rochdale. But I do know and love Manchester.
