WHAT HAPPENED TO KIM AT THE END OF LAST SERIES?
Kim was deeply traumatised at the end of the last series as she had been attacked by one of the pupils, Lewis Seddon. It shook her up really badly and she nearly gave up teaching. But I'm glad she didn't.

DO YOU THINK KIM HAS CHANGED AT ALL?
Yes Kim has definitely changed. I think she is stronger now. Kim was always a strong character but when Lewis attacked her it made her lose her confidence. She could have easily allowed the anxiety get to her and been too afraid to go back into teaching. But she has tackled her fears head on over the summer holidays by taking self defence classes. She's back stronger than ever and determined to help at the School. She really cares about the kids and the school.

WATERLOO ROAD HAS A NEW INVESTOR THIS SERIES - HOW DOES KIM GET ALONG WITH HIM?
Kim is not impressed at all with Roger and the way he can come in and just buy a school. She can't believe Andrew and Jack are actually in favour of the idea as she knows it is just wrong for Waterloo Road.

ANDREW AND KIM HAD A LOT OF CHEMISTRY BUT A LOT OF CONFLICTING VIEWS LAST SERIES. WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP LIKE THIS SERIES?
The Andrew and Kim story is as usual full of ups and downs. They fancy each other but just don't ever seem to get things right. One of them always seems to say the wrong things. They seem to be both at the wrong side of a fence all the time.

DO YOU THINK THEY WILL BE ABLE TO WORK THROUGH THEIR DIFFERENCES IN ORDER TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP?
I hope so as I would love it if Kim and Andrew got together... I'm still waiting! They just never quite manage.

WHAT DO YOU THINK KIM'S FEELINGS ARE TOWARDS ANDREW?
Kim fancies Andrew like mad but she also finds him really frustrating. Kim knows he isn't very good at communicating - as he seems to bumble every situation. So she tries to be patient but it always mucks up.

BULLYING IS AN ISSUE THIS SERIES. IS KIM INVOLVED?
Kim is head of pastoral care so is daily involved in bullying, she is also aware what it feels like to be a victim after the Lewis Seddon incident. Kim isn't directly involved with Izzie's daughter Mika, getting bullied but she's always trying to help kids deal with bullies.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR ADVICE IN REGARDS TO BULLYING?
If you are being bullied you should definitely tell someone. But also if you are being picked on try not to lose your bottle. And stand up for yourself. In my experience people that pick on others tend to be weak people rather than strong people - so if you remember this.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE STORYLINE THIS SERIES?
My fave storyline this series has to be the ups and downs of the Andrew and Kim relationship. It's a rollercoaster and its lots of fun working with Jamie. It's great as we have loads of scenes where we attack each other and have stand up rows. It's brilliant I love the rows! And I also love working with the kids - I don't know how the do it, but all the kids they use on Waterloo Road are brilliant actors and really good to work with.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED MOST ABOUT RECORDING WATERLOO ROAD?
I love working with Jamie Glover and Jason Merrells we have great scenes, some of them are meant to be really serious and we just keep corpseing. It's hilarious to us but I don't think anyone else finds it funny.

WHAT DID YOU DO BETWEEN SERIES?
Between filming the two series of Waterloo Road I did absolutely nothing - it was bliss. Oh I suppose I did record the voice overs for a new character in Postman Pat called Amy Wrigglesworth and I was also making plans for my wedding but apart from those things and being a mum, that was about it!

YOU WERE RECENTLY MARRIED - HOW IS MARRIED LIFE AND HAS IT CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Married life is fab. But it hasn't changed anything. I suppose it's because we had already had Tallulah but it is great.

WERE THERE ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?
My husband Jason was really, really ill on the day. Thank goodness I didn't know until later. He basically had been up sick ALL night. He'd been throwing up from 5 O'clock until 11 O'clock the next day and we were getting married at 2! He afterwards admitted if it hadn't been our wedding and had been anything else he would have cancelled. He only told me all this as we were signing the register. I'm pleased I hadn't found out earlier as I was so nervous it would have really worried me. But poor Jason wasn't feeling very good at all so he went off to bed by ten o'clock at night and I ended up staying up dancing until 2 in the morning. His illness was a virus that he had right through the first 4 days of our honeymoon too. Horrid for him.

HOW DID TALLULAH ENJOY IT? DO YOU THINK SHE WILL BE ABLE TO REMEMBER THE DAY?
Tallulah will definitely remember the day as we always talk about it with her. And she was also given a necklace as a gift which she wears. We also show her the photos too. She was such a princess but I'm afraid she did rather freak out on the day. I think she had picked up on my nervousness so she wouldn't let go of me and sobbed her heart out. In the end Grandma rescued us by taking her out.

IF YOU WERE ALLOWED TO TAKE ONE PROP TO REMIND YOU OF WATERLOO ROAD WHAT WOULD YOU TAKE.
I think if I were to take a souvenir from the school I would probably take one of the little clay models in Kim's art room. There are all these faces and sculptures but one of those would make a nice reminder for me.

WATERLOO ROAD IS FILMED IN MANCHESTER, ARE YOU ENJOYING LIVING AND WORKING AROUND MANCHESTER?
I've been up here for a long time - probably about six years so Manchester is home from home for me. Particularly because I have lots of family up here too.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE LOCAL MANCHESTER RESTAURANT OR BAR?
I like La Vina which is a tapas restaurant in Deansgate.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY DOING IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
At the moment I've been moving house, home making, looking after Tallulah.

HOW DO YOU STAY IN SHAPE?
Do my fitness videos 1 and 2 available in major outlets - ha ha.

DO YOU HAVE ANY LONG TERM GOALS FOR KIM?
I want her get her to the end of the series and I would love for Kim to get it together with Andrew. I keep picking up the new scripts and reading them hoping they will get together... I hope they do... a few scripts left to read... fingers crossed they get it together.

DO YOU HAVE YOUR OWN LONG TERM GOALS OR AMBITIONS?
More homemaking, babymaking. To keep working and also keep the balance too - I think I've got a good work/life balance at the moment so I would like to keep things like that.
