The Move to Greenock

Our move to the Old Greenock Academy in Inverclyde was a momentous one.  We loved filming in Rochdale and had a wonderful seven years there, but everyone has embraced the challenge of creating an exciting new set and you will see we pay homage to our old school which was dear to our hearts.

The school was pretty much derelict and our wonderful design and construction team have done a fantastic job recreating the Waterloo Road you all know and love, with some new surprises for you to enjoy.  One of the best days for us was the ‘Waterloo Road’ sign being put up on the building, we had arrived and lots of local fans came out to see it.  We know it is now familiar to you as the picture has been tweeted around all the fans for some time now.

Filming started in April and will continue through to December, we are extremely proud of the show and very excited to hear what you think in the coming weeks.
